Card Access
Controls
•The field control equipment has a level of flexibility to
support variable card formats, multiple reader technologies and multiple
site/facility codes. They also support elevator control, anti-pass back, and
programmable input to output linking.
•Provides added security to plant safety
and site personnel by monitoring door contacts, motion detectors, glass break
sensors, and other alarm devices as well as request-to-exit devices and
electric door hardware. Also provides programmable auxiliary relays
(outputs) for interface with other building systems.
•Provides dozens of preconfigured reports
arranged by cardholders (employee database), devices, alarm history or
events, or operator actions.
•Interfaces to existing plant networks
via the Ethernet-LAN/WAN, RS-485, RS-232 or dialup connections.
•Provides controlled access through
proximity reading, PIR (motion detection) and exit coordination with the
logging of personnel to/from controlled points of the plant for added safety
in case of a plant emergency.
•Off-the-shelf hardware and software.
•Software is configurable to limit
abilities and access to various users. This allows for an employee
database of up to 16,000 cardholders to be maintained with privacy.
•Alarms can cascade to multiple workstations throughout a
plant site in the event of a non-acknowledgement.
